In this dance solo that is as radical and daring as a manifesto, the young choreographer and dancer Stanley Ollivier creates a layered performance about identity. He explores the endless possibilities of the human body and its capacity to generate the unexpected. How do we develop our own identity in a history marked by values and normative systems?
Stanley Ollivier challenges the power of abstraction of movement, revisits the dominant discourse and digs deep in his own imagination. From all this he draws different ways of expressing his own specificity while taking a retrospective interest in certain personal complexes.
A mix of seriousness, exaggeration and absurdity, the show allows us to glimpse the intimate unfolding of a physical transformation. A political way of inhabiting the body.
