Notes pour un spectacle

What does Pasolini’s death represent? In this play, which is rather like a dress rehearsal, four performers draw inspiration from this tragic event to hold up a mirror to our times.
We are in an auditorium and there are actors on stage. They are not here to perform, however, but to give us the opportunity to witness ‘Notes pour un spectacle’ to be made. This ideal show exists only in their imagination, and so the only way to see it is to visualize it together.
A show about what? About a decisive night, marked forever by a double assassination. That of the Italian poet Pasolini and that of the world he loved and which the performers did not know: rural villages, life in the suburbs, regional languages, and peasant and working-class culture.
In the face of the disenchantment of our times, we are left with the joy of coming together, of laughing together, of imagining what we have lost and what we still have to find. An ode to artistic creation – joyful, moving and sincere.
