In Mon corps de ferme, Aurélie Olivier examines what the agri-food industry and farms tell us about the world in the light of her own particular history.
To ensure a close relationship between the chosen words and the land, archive images and abstract forms imagined with the graphic designer Anne-Lise Bachelier are projected onto her body. Catholicism, gender and the sexualization of bodies, consumption, Aurélie Olivier dissects her rural childhood in a language specific to her environment of origin: modest, sparing, yet full of references and double meanings.
Mon corps de ferme will be published by Éditions du commun in January 2023.
