Theatre
Alexis Julémont’s latest creation, Nostalgica, portrays a family living in isolation in a tropical forest. The parents and their three children, who were born into this wild environment, spend their time filming themselves in a small purpose-built studio in a clearing next to their house. Their life seems to flow peacefully, free of any material constraints, their sole obsession the making of these ‘family films’.
By recording on film their daily life away from the world, the characters tell their stories, document their actions and thoughts, and look for ways out. But beneath the veneer of these fleeting moments, a drama looms. Can this life as outsiders last forever?
