Investing in the Tax Shelter

Support us by investing

The Tax Shelter* offers you a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of ambitious artistic creations while reducing your tax bill.

A financial product established by the federal government in 2004, the Tax Shelter scheme was set up to encourage Belgian companies – or Belgian branches of foreign companies subject to corporation tax in Belgium – to participate in cultural projects in exchange for attractive tax benefits.

In practice

The Tax Shelter scheme offers companies wishing to support creative activities by investing part of their profits the possibility to benefit from a significant tax exemption on the amount invested.

La Coop

La Coop, a privileged partner for companies interested in supporting live shows, is a non-profit organization founded by seventeen actors in performing arts production (with eighty-three members to date). Working in an optimized collaborative way, it helps to raise Tax Shelter funds to support the production of live shows by its members. The structure offers expert assistance carried out by performing arts professionals. Lastly, it provides transparent, ethical and non-commercial advice.

* A Tax Shelter operation carries certain risks, in particular the risk that the investor will not receive the tax benefit, leading to the total or partial loss of the amount invested, should the intermediary’s guarantee mechanisms prove ineffective. Investors are advised to read the partner fundraiser’s prospectus before making an investment decision, in order to fully understand the potential risks and benefits associated with the decision to invest.
