Dear colleagues and friends,
We are pleased to invite you to this year’s edition of Scènes nouvelles, organised by the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles from 6 to 9 November 2024. This annual event is a unique opportunity to discover emerging talent on the French-speaking Belgian stage.
The programme includes four days of shows consisting of new creations and revivals of works that deserve to be better known. The artistic disciplines represented cover a wide spectrum: theatre, dance, performance, stand-up and more. Please find below the details of each production.
As every year, Scènes nouvelles aims to be the international platform for exchanges and meetings with the artists we support. As such, we are offering tailor-made programmes for professionals: presentations of future projects by the artists as well as time for sharing and networking. We are delighted to welcome Magrit Coulon, Zora Snake, Guy Cassiers, Anne-Cécile Vandalem, Salim Djaferi and Chrystèle Khodr to present their forthcoming work.
This 3rd edition will be enriched by the presence of international partners and artists from the Common Lab project initiated by the European network COSTO - Common Stories. You will be able to attend presentations of the projects of each of the nine artists taking part in this year’s edition, the fruit of eight weeks of residency between Lisbon, Maputo, Bobigny and Brussels.
We hope that many of you will be able to join us to celebrate the dynamism and diversity of contemporary artistic creation!
