La vieille dame et le serpent
Nicolas Mouzet Tagawa
Proche Quartier
How do we inhabit the institution? And how does it inhabit us? How does a body enter the institution? Can it leave it? And what does it mean to enter and leave? What changes occur between entering and leaving?
Drawing on meetings with local associations, on a tale and on a reference treatise for scenographers, Nicolas Mouzet Tagawa weaves a dance between words and the craft machinery of the stage. A web takes shape among the curtains, pulleys, windlasses and social fabric. ‘Curtains that hide and reveal, neutralize and reveal the “dramatic” action. Humans who produce this action. Or not. Once again, something of the space in motion.’
