Sukhishvili

Sukhishvili, the famous Georgian National Ballet, is an ensemble of some fifty artists, dancers and musicians that has been preserving the customs of authentic Georgian dance for seventy-five years. With an orchestra featuring musical instruments that have been handed down from generation to generation, it is the entire history of Georgia that is performed on stage. A history of struggle and suffering, but also of heroism and hope. The refined and brightly coloured costumes reflect the traditions of the different regions of this country, which is being honoured as part of europalia georgia. 

A ritual-like performance that continues to inspire new generations of dancers and to captivate audiences worldwide.
