La route du levant

Dominique Ziegler / Jean-Michel Van den Eeyden

11 > 24.01.2018

Beyond fear and prejudice, La Route du Levant takes us behind closed doors in an attempt to understand the violence of religious radicalization.

Two men in a police station in the suburbs: one is a police officer, the other is suspected of wanting to join a terrorist group. One defends the many opportunities given by our society, the other represents a youth lost to disillusionment. Thus begins a tense interrogation, a game of chess, with each opponent trying to throw the other one off their tracks. Their views on the Western world are pitted up against each other... to the point of shaking up our own popular beliefs ?

La Route du Levant by Dominique Ziegler reveals a crucial question on current events: what factors are pushing today’s youth to adopting violent and radical thoughts and beliefs ? A powerful performance prone to debate !
