Cold Blood

Thomas Gunzig, Michèle Anne De Mey & Jaco Van Dormael - Collectif Kiss & Cry

12 > 23.12.2017

After their international hit, Kiss and Cry , everyone was waiting with baited breath for the second work by Jaco Van Dormael and Michèle Anne De Mey.

And this is another resounding success for the director and choreographer who are collaborating again on this occasion with storyteller Thomas Gunzig. Once again, we are greeted by the unique invention of the “nano-dance”, magnified and glorified by the arresting power of the camera and screen: although only the fingers were used before, this time we see the whole body dancing and languishing, sensually, on the verge of suicide, to Scarlatti’s aria, Caldo Sangue.

What images of the world and life suddenly appear during these private, tragic circumstances? This question will also be explored in unique fashion by Amor, their next production, whose subject and language are still evolving.
