Boudoir

Steven Cohen

20 > 22.01.2023
Installation – Performance

In this new creation, Steven Cohen welcomes us in his Boudoir, a domestic place where the links between intimacy and politics are reconfigured. Intended to collect his memories, the Boudoir brings his performance art closer to his plastic works. It constitutes a memorial chamber in which art history and memories of colonial, racial or sexual violence circulate, and a body that transforms into life force.

Première belge

The show is presented at the Halles de Schaerbeek.
The Halles de Schaerbeek and the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles co-present the unique work of Steven Cohen. It’s an opportunity to bring the work of the South African choreographer, performer and visual artist to Brussels audiences.
