De Infinito universo
Filippo Ferraresi
In three tableaux, De Infinito universo contrasts the intimacy of the human being with the grandeur and mystery of certain universal questions, which have no answer. In turn, an astrophysicist, a shepherd and a politician’s assistant are plunged into questions that reveal the same theoretical and human tension. Is thought alone capable of developing systems of understanding that can describe every element of the universe?
This show is inspired in particular by the theses of Yuval Noah Harari, author of Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, according to whom, “history began when men invented deities and will end when men become deities”.
Over recent years, Filippo Ferraresi worked as assistant director alongside Franco Dragone, Roméo Castellucci and Fabrice Murgia, among others. Following the sound creation Dans la Caverne, which he presented last season as part of VOIX.E.S, the Brussels-based Italian artist returns this time with a first staging of a show created in co-production with the Piccolo Teatro di Milano.
